This full-length portrait of Emma Lewis Coleman (1853-1942), resident of Deerfield and Cambridge, Massachusetts, shows her in a medieval costume. The Norman Photo Company of Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts, took this portrait of Emma Lewis Coleman (1853-1942) between 1900 and 1920. The picture shows Miss Coleman standing erect and dressed in medieval clothing. Emma Coleman was herself a photographer of note and a serious researcher who, with her fellow historian Charlotte Alice Baker (1833-1909), made journeys to Canada to gather information about Deerfield children taken captive in February 1704.
