The city of Holyoke, Massachusetts, sits on the west side of the Connecticut River. Mount Tom rises above the city of Holyoke to the northwest and provides stunning views of the valley to both the north and south and of the Berkshires to the west. This image shows a full moon shining on the river and the barely discernable buildings of the city of Holyoke. This is just one of many postcards of the area produced as souvenirs during the late 1800s and early 1900s.
