The interior of George Fuller's (1822-1884) studio at the Bars south of the village of Deerfield, Massachusetts, shows a large fireplace and assorted pieces of furniture as well as paintings, both framed and stacked against the wall. Mr. Fuller remodeled the "Allen" house across the road from his home to serve as his workspace for painting. A work in progress, "Led Through the Meadows," rests on an easel in the center of the photograph. The photographer was fellow-artist, J. Wells Champney (1843-1903).
