“Item, I give & bequeath to my beloved Wife Dorothy Ashley; my Riding Chair, my Grey Mare, two Cows & ten Sheep, also my Easy Chair, all the Silver Utensils which She brought with her at our Marriage, my Negro Woman Servant Jenny, and also one half of all my Household Furniture to be to my said Wife to her life & Behoof forever….”
