Doane's Falls, in Royalston, Massachusetts, are named after Amos Doane who owned the land around them. He built the large mill in this picture, but it was never used for manufacturing. The mill stood for many years but was eventually torn down. This picture shows it in a state of disrepair. The falls are 2 miles southwest of Royalston Center on Lawrence Brook which flows into Tully Lake.
