A cyanotype relies on cyanic acid to sensitize the paper for the photographic process. This album, with an image of Memorial Hall on the cover was created by Deerfield, Massachusetts, photographers Frances and Mary Allen (1858-1941) in 1907. It contains forty-four cyanotype images of Memorial Hall and its collections. The museum opened in September 1880, and contains objects and documents owned and made by residents of the Connecticut River Valley of Massachusetts and the hill towns to the west.
