Ellen Miller was deeply interested in mastering the use of vegetable dyes. Using such dyes, she painted this delightful "Rabbits in the Pea-Patch" linen piece more than once. Dyed linens with this title were exhibited in 1907 and 1908 Deerfield Annual Summer Exhibitions in Deerfield, Massachusetts.
