Zebulon Graves charged Joel Munn for a lost bridle and a borrowed shilling in addition to the rental charge for riding his horse to Boston. Munn was not unusual in not owning his own horse. People who needed a horse could rent one from a livery stable or borrow one from a private owner, as Munn did.
